There will be a few Basic Skywarn classes held this spring. On Saturday May 9th there will be a class from 0830a to 10a in Surf City. The logistics for another class is being worked on for Myrtle Beach and Ocean Isle Beach later this Spring. Otherwise, we have had a quiet start to our severe weather season, but conditions can change quickly as we transition to warmer weather in April and May. The peak of our severe hail season is in May, while our peak microburst season runs from the end of June into the first half of July.
